Set Time

Prompt the meter or ERT to compare the times of its internal application time clock to its internal network time clock. If the two internal clocks' read times are greater than 48 hours from each other, Field Tools changes the time of the two clocks to the Field Tools app's time. If the two internal clocks' read times are fewer than 48 hours from each other, Field Tools doesn't change the time of either of the ERT's clocks. When the workflow completes, a results screen indicating the time was set successfully appears. If the workflow doesn't complete, a message appears indicating that the ERT times are okay and the time was not set.

You must have Program Endpoints permission to perform this command.

Set Time prompts you for the following inputs.

Field

Description

Endpoint ID

Type or scan the ID number of the device you are working with. This number is assigned to each device at the time of manufacture. It uniquely distinguishes the device from all others.

Current Time

Compare the date and time displayed here, with the date and time of your mobile device: these values should match each other.

If the two date and time values match, continue the workflow.

Or

If the two date and time values do not match, use the back arrow to cancel out of the workflow.

Warning

Press Yes or No to continue the operation with the following understanding:

You are about to set the ERT's time. Doing so erases all interval data stored by the ERT.

Supported devices

All devices in network mode can set time.
